Criss-Cross Ham and Cheese Sandwich

Grill yourself a fantastic sandwich with great-tasting Hormel® Natural Choice® meat.

  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened
  • 2 slices soft whole wheat bread
  • 1 tablespoon DI LUSSO™ Dijon Mustard
  • 4 slices HORMEL® NATURAL CHOICE® Smoked Deli Ham
  • 1 slice American, Cheddar or Swiss cheese
  • Strawberry jam


  1. Heat waffle iron (not Belgian type).
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice bread. Spread unbuttered side of 1 slice bread with mustard; top with ham, cheese and remaining slice bread, butter-side-up.
  3. Cook sandwich in waffle iron 4 to 6 minutes or until golden and crisp. Serve with strawberry jam for dipping or spreading.
