All-American Turkey Cheeseburgers

Ingredients

1 package JENNIE-O® Savory Seasoned Turkey Burger

1/3 cup ketchup
-
3 tablespoons seasoned dried breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons grated or finely chopped onion
-
1 large egg, lightly beaten
-
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
-
1/4 teaspoon pepper
-
4 ((1/4-inch-thick)) slices red or yellow onion

4 slices Cheddar cheese
-
4 Kaiser rolls or bakery-style hamburger buns, split

4 slices tomato
-
4 leaves romaine or red leaf lettuce
Directions

Prepare grill for direct medium-high heat.

In large bowl, combine turkey, ketchup, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, garlic salt and pepper; mix well. Shape into 4 1/2-inch-thick patties. Coat patties and onion slices with cooking spray.

Grill patties and onion 6 to 7 minutes on each side or until turkey is no longer pink in center. Top patties with cheese during last minute of grilling. Lightly toast rolls on grill, cut-side-down, during last 1 to 2 minutes of grilling.

Serve patties in rolls topped with grilled onion, tomato and lettuce.
