All-American Turkey Cheeseburgers

  • 1 package JENNIE-O® Savory Seasoned Turkey Burger
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons seasoned dried breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons grated or finely chopped onion
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 ((1/4-inch-thick)) slices red or yellow onion
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese
  • 4 Kaiser rolls or bakery-style hamburger buns, split
  • 4 slices tomato
  • 4 leaves romaine or red leaf lettuce


  1. Prepare grill for direct medium-high heat.
  2. In large bowl, combine turkey, ketchup, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, garlic salt and pepper; mix well. Shape into 4 1/2-inch-thick patties. Coat patties and onion slices with cooking spray.
  3. Grill patties and onion 6 to 7 minutes on each side or until turkey is no longer pink in center. Top patties with cheese during last minute of grilling. Lightly toast rolls on grill, cut-side-down, during last 1 to 2 minutes of grilling.
  4. Serve patties in rolls topped with grilled onion, tomato and lettuce.
