Bacon Blue Cheese Burgers


This recipe is recommended for 4 servings


  • 1 1/2 pounds 85% lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup HORMELĀ® Real Crumbled Bacon
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns or Kaiser rolls, split
  • Additional toppings such as lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, sliced red onion, pickle slices, crumbled bacon and crumbled blue cheese


  1. In large bowl, combine beef, bacon, onion and pepper. Shape into 4 (4-inch) patties.
  2. Make slight indentation in center of each patty. Fill each indentation with cheese. Shape beef up and around cheese to form patty and cover cheese.
  3. Grease grill grate. Prepare grill for medium heat.
  4. Grill patties 5 to 7 minutes on each side. Meanwhile, toast buns. Place patties and your choice of toppings in buns.
