Transcript: Pulled Pork
Pulled Pork is a classic, versatile favorite. Today we’ll show you how to prepare it and three delicious ways to serve it.
Begin with a four to five pound Hormel Always Tender Pork Shoulder Roast or Pork Shoulder Blade Boston Roast. Place pork in a four to six quart slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine vinegar, brown sugar, crushed red pepper flakes, salt and black pepper. Mix well. Pour mixture over the meat. Cover and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours or on high for 5 to 6 hours. When cool enough to handle, simply pull pork into bite-sized pieces. Now for the fun part.
Southern Barbeque Rolls
For a Southern flair, try these tasty southern barbeque rolls. Arrange cooked pork on Kaiser roll bottom. Top with coleslaw. Cover with roll tops and serve.
Carolina Pork Sandwiches
For a classic barbeque, our Carolina Pork Sandwiches fit the bill. In a large saucepan over low heat, combine one-cup barbeque sauce with cooked pulled pork. Stir frequently until mixture is hot. Arrange the pork on sandwich buns and serve.
Pork Carnitas
For something completely different, give our Pork Carnitas a try. Simply fill warm tortillas with cooked pork, roll and serve with guacamole and salsa. One versatile meat, three great recipes.
