Ingredients

This recipe is recommended for 4 servings
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into rings
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons light olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dehydrated onion flakes
  • 1/2 pound HORMEL® CURE 81® Boneless Ham, thinly sliced
  • 1 tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1 (14-ounce) loaf French bread, split lengthwise
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 4 ounces Provolone cheese, thinly sliced

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. In skillet, sauté bell pepper and garlic in oil over medium-high heat until bell pepper is crisply tender. Stir in onion flakes. Remove bell pepper from skillet, reserving oil.
  3. Layer ham, tomato and sautéed bell pepper on bottom half of French bread. Drizzle with reserved oil. Sprinkle with oregano. Top with cheese. Cover with top half of baguette.
  4. Wrap loaf in aluminum foil. Bake 25 minutes or until cheese is melted.
