Ingredients

This recipe is recommended for 4 servings
  • 1 cup extra-long grain rice
  • 1 pound ground lean beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 (7-ounce) cans HERDEZ® Salsa Ranchera
  • 1/2 (15-ounce) jar Dona Maria® Nopalitos, drained, rinsed and diced

Directions

  1. Cook rice according to package directions; keep warm.
  2. Meanwhile, in large saucepan, cook beef, onion and garlic in oil, stirring frequently, until beef is browned and onion is softened. Add salsa and nopalitos; bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover; simmer 20 minutes. Serve over rice.
