Ingredients

This recipe is recommended for 8 servings
  • 2 cups (1/4-inch) slices comice or anjou pears
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 cup Hormel® Pillow Pack® 6 oz Turkey Pepperoni, cut into strips
  • 1/4 cup Neufchâtel cheese
  • 8 diagonal slices French or sourdough bread, toasted

Directions

  1. Heat broiler.
  2. In large skillet, cook pears, thyme and orange juice over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 6 to 8 minutes or until pears are tender. Add pepperoni. Cook 3 to 4 minutes longer or until heated thoroughly.
  3. Spread cheese over toasted bread. Top evenly with pepperoni mixture. Place on baking sheet. Broil 4 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
