Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup thinly sliced onion
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 4 cups skim milk
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons HERB-OX® Chicken Granulated Sodium Free
  • 2 cups JENNIE-O® Classic Young Turkey Breast, cut into cubes and cooked

Directions

  1. In 3-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium-high heat; add celery and onion. Sauté 5 to 6 minutes or until celery is softened and onion is golden brown. Add garlic; sauté 1 to 2 minutes longer. Stir in flour, salt and white pepper; cook, stirring constantly, 1 to 2 minutes more.
  2. Remove saucepan from heat; slowly add milk, stirring constantly. Return saucepan to medium-high heat. Stir in mustard and bouillon; cook and stir 5 to 8 minutes or until thickened and bubbly. Stir in turkey; cook 1 to 2 minutes longer. Serve soup with French bread, if desired.
