Ingredients

This recipe is recommended for 6 servings
  • 1 package Hormel® Always Tender® Bone-In Assorted Chop
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup apple juice or apple cider
  • 1/2 (16-ounce) can whole cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange peel
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 (11-ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained

Step-by-Step

  1. Buy 1 package Hormel® Always Tender® Bone In Assorted Pork Chops.

  2. Sprinkle pork chops with seasoned pepper. In 12-inch skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat; add 1/2 of pork chops. Cook, turning once, 8 to 10 minutes or until browned. Repeat with remaining pork chops. Pour apple juice over chops; bring to a boil. Cover; reduce heat to low. Simmer 10 minutes or until no longer pink and internal temperature reaches 160°F. Remove pork chops from skillet; cover to keep warm.

  3. In large bowl, stir together cranberry sauce, onions, brown sugar, orange peel, cornstarch and cinnamon; pour into juices in skillet. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring frequently, 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in mandarin oranges.

  4. Serve sauce spooned over pork chops.

  5. Serve pork chops and sauce with brown rice.
