Ingredients

This recipe is recommended for 8 servings
  • 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 HERB-OX® Chicken Bouillon Cubes
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 4 cups JENNIE-O® Classic Young Turkey Breast, cooked and cut into cubes
  • 3 cups wild rice
  • 1 (8-ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Butter 12x8-inch baking dish.
  2. In large skillet, sauté mushrooms in butter over medium heat until tender. Blend in flour, bouillon and water. Stir in evaporated milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Add turkey, wild rice and water chestnuts. Pour mixture into baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle casserole with almonds; cover. Bake 30 minutes. Uncover; bake 30 minutes longer or until hot and bubbly.
