This recipe is recommended for 8 servings
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1/4 cup butter
6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 Herb-Ox® Chicken Bouillon Cubes
1 cup water
1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
4 cups Jennie-O Turkey Store® Classic Young Turkey Breast, cooked and cubed
3 cups wild rice
1 (8-ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1/2 cup sliced almonds
Directions
Heat oven to 350°F. Butter 12x8-inch baking dish.
In large skillet, sauté mushrooms in butter over medium heat until tender. Blend in flour, bouillon and water. Stir in evaporated milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Add turkey, wild rice and water chestnuts. Pour mixture into baking dish.
Sprinkle casserole with almonds; cover. Bake 30 minutes. Uncover; bake 30 minutes longer or until hot and bubbly.
