  • 24 large raw fresh shrimp
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 cup CHI-CHI'S® Green Jalapeños Whole, minced
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 cup CHI-CHI'S® Smooth & Spicy Picante Sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh cilantro


  1. Peel, devein and rinse shrimp, leaving tails attached, if desired.
  2. In medium saucepan, combine water, lime juice, garlic, jalapeños, salt and chili powder. Bring to a boil; boil until reduced to 1 cup. Add shrimp. Return to a boil; cook 1 to 2 minutes longer or until shrimp turn pink. Drain. Cover; refrigerate until chilled.
  3. To make cocktail sauce, in small bowl, combine picante sauce, ketchup and cilantro; mix well. Serve with shrimp for dipping.
