  • 3 pounds beef stew meat
  • 1 large yellow onion, diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 Mexican-style diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup HERDEZ® Salsa Casera
  • 1 1/2 cups HERDEZ® Salsa Verde
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 package CHI-CHI'S® Whole Wheat Flour Tortillas, heated


  1. In large saucepan, sauté stew meat and onion in oil. Add tomatoes, salsa casera, salsa verde, broth, garlic powder, cumin, salt and pepper; cover. Simmer over low heat 1 hours. Add potatoes; simmer 30 minutes or longer or until meat and potatoes are tender.
  2. Spoon stew into warm bowls. Serve with warm tortillas.
