Ingredients

This recipe is recommended for 8 servings
  • 2 (12-ounce) packages Hormel® Natural Choice® Apple Gouda Chicken Sausage
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sauerkraut, drained
  • 1/4 cup apple butter
  • 8 buns, split
  • 1 green apple, cored and sliced
  • Spicy brown mustard
  • Pepperoncini pepper rings

Directions

  1. Place sausage in slow cooker.
  2. In bowl, combine sauerkraut and apple butter; mix well. Spoon mixture over sausage. Cover; cook on LOW setting 4 hours or until heated thoroughly.
  3. Spread cut sides of buns with mustard. Fill with apple slices, sausage and sauerkraut mixture. Serve with pepperoncini and additional mustard.
