Ingredients

This recipe is recommended for 4 servings
  • 8 ounces spaghetti or linguine
  • 2 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1 (8-ounce) package HORMEL® CURE 81® Cubed Ham
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1 1/4 cups finely grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions

Directions

  1. In large pot of boiling salted water, cook spaghetti 12 to 15 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  2. Meanwhile, in large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat; add ham. Cook 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from skillet.
  3. In same skillet, melt remaining 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat. Add garlic; cook 1 minute or until fragrant. Add wine; simmer until reduced by half. Add cream, nutmeg, salt, pepper and ham. Simmer 5 minutes longer or until slightly thickened.
  4. Add 1 cup cheese and the onions to skillet; stir to combine. Add spaghetti; stir to coat. Spoon spaghetti into warm bowls. Top with remaining 1/4 cup cheese.
