Ingredients

This recipe is recommended for 6 servings
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef or turkey
  • 1 1/2 cups CHI-CHI'S® Thick & Chunky Salsa, divided
  • 1 cup dried breadcrumbs
  • 4 to 6 pineapple slices
  • 2 to 3 jalapeño peppers, sliced
  • 2 ears corn, husks and silk removed
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup chopped roasted red peppers
  • 6 hamburger buns, split and toasted
  • 1/2 cup sprigs fresh cilantro
  • Lime wedges, to serve

Directions

  1. Prepare grill for medium-high heat.
  2. In large bowl, combine beef, 1/2 cup salsa verde and the breadcrumbs; mix gently. Shape mixture into 6 patties.
  3. Grill patties 6 to 7 minutes on each side or until internal temperature reaches 165°F. Grill pineapple 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until grill marks appear. Grill corn 10 to 12 minutes or until char marks appear. Let stand until cool enough to handle. Turn corn cobs on ends. Run knife down cobs to remove kernels.
  4. In blender container or food processor bowl, puree mayonnaise and roasted peppers until smooth. Spread onto bottom halves of buns. Top with patties, pineapple, jalapeños, remaining 1 cup salsa, the corn and cilantro. Cover with top halves of buns. Serve with lime wedges.
