Ingredients

This recipe is recommended for 6 servings
  • 1 (20-ounce) package JENNIE-O® Ground Turkey
  • 1 (1.25-ounce) package CHI-CHI'S® Fajita Seasoning Mix
  • 1 cup dried breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 red bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 large red onion, thickly sliced into rings
  • 1 (6-ounce) package WHOLLY GUACAMOLE® Classic Guacamole Dip
  • 6 hamburger buns, split and toasted
  • 6 slices Monterey Jack cheese with peppers, cut in half
  • 1 cup CHI-CHI'S® Thick & Chunky Salsa
  • 1/2 cup fresh sprigs cilantro
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • Grilled corn on the cob, to serve

Directions

  1. Prepare grill for medium-high heat.
  2. In large bowl, combine turkey, seasoning mix, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped cilantro, salt and black pepper; mix gently. Shape mixture into 6 patties.
  3. Grill patties 6 to 7 minutes on each side or until internal temperature reaches 165°F. Grill bell peppers and onion 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until char marks appear.
  4. Spread guacamole onto bottom half of each bun. Top each with patty, 2 slices cheese, roasted peppers and onion, salsa and cilantro sprigs. Cover with top halves of buns. Serve with corn, if desired.
