Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 (2-ounce) jar HORMEL® Real Bacon Pieces
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (10-ounce) can refrigerated pizza crust dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 425°F. Grease baking sheet.
  2. In large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, 5 to 8 minutes or until beef is no longer pink; drain well.
  3. To make filling, in bowl, combine beef mixture, Italian seasoning, bacon pieces and cheeses; mix well.
  4. Roll dough into 15x10-inch rectangle. Spread pizza sauce over dough to within 1 inch of edges. Spread filling in 4-inch strip lengthwise down center of dough. Fold long sides of dough over filling; pinch edges to seal. Place seam-side-down on baking sheet, tucking ends under. Cut slits on top.
  5. Bake stromboli, brushing occasionally with butter, 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand a few minutes before serving. Cut into slices.
