The final result is a moist and tender ham that provides great texture and flavor.
Hormel Cure 81 Boneless Hams are flexible and easy to prepare. They’re fully-cooked and can be served right out of the fridge – simply remove the ham from the wrapper, place on a platter, and serve. For a more traditional dinner experience – serve your ham warm. Follow these simple heating and glazing tips for a meal your family won't soon forget. Remove the ham from package and place face down in a baking pan. Add 1 cup of water to the pan. Cover pan securely with foil. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes per pound – or until the ham is warmed through. The optimum serving temperature is between 135 and 140 degrees. For a delicious, spicy cranberry glaze – mix together cranberry sauce, brown sugar, orange juice, cloves, cinnamon and allspice – heat until smooth. 30 minutes before the ham is done, spoon half of the glaze over the ham. Continue baking uncovered. Serve ham with the remaining glaze. To carve, start at one end or the face cut of the ham. Using a sharp knife, cut ham into ¼ inch thick slices. Only cut enough ham to serve your immediate needs. The remaining ham will stay more moist and juicy if left in whole form. Whether it's an informal lunch or a special occasion dinner – the Hormel Cure 81 Boneless Ham is guaranteed to impress.
