Hormel Cure 81 Bone-In Hams are simply the best in the business. They’re fully-cooked and easy to prepare. Follow these simple heating and glazing tips for an unforgettable feast. Remove the ham from the package and discard the bone guard. Place face down in a large baking pan or roaster with 2 to 3 inch sides. Add 1 cup of water to the pan. Cover the pan securely with foil or a tight fitting roaster lid. Pre-heat oven to 325 and bake 15 minutes per pound or until the ham is warm. The optimum serving temperature is between 135 and 140 degrees. For a delicious glaze, remove the ham from the oven and turn the oven temperature up to 425. Mix contents of the included glaze packet with 2 tablespoons and 1 teaspoon of water. Spread glaze mix over the entire ham. Return the uncovered ham to the oven for 5 minutes – this will allow the glaze to set. You’re now ready to garnish and serve. Our Hormel Cure 81 bone-in hams are pre-sliced all the way to the bone making carving fast and easy. Simply insert the knife and cut around the bone. Following the natural seams, cut the ham into smaller serving portions. Gently life sliced portions and serve. The Hormel Cure 81 Bone-In Ham makes any dinner occasion a special one.
