Transcript: How-To Video: Roasting a Turkey
Roasting a perfect turkey. It’s easier than you think and It all begins with a delicious Jennie-O Turkey Store Turkey.
First, thaw the turkey by following package instructions. Pre-heat the oven to 325-degrees. Remove the turkey neck and the giblets from the appropriate cavities. Rinse the turkey thoroughly inside and out with cold water. For a picture perfect turkey, tuck the wing tips under the shoulders. Place the turkey, breast side up on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. Place a foil tent over the breast. Place the turkey in the oven. Remove foil tent after the first 1 to 1 ½ hours of roasting to allow for browning. Roast the turkey until the internal temperature reads 170 degrees in the breast – approximately 15 - 20 minutes per pound. Allow the turkey to stand 20 minutes before carving.
